Welcome to my blog, Marking My Moments!
My name is Amanda Littleton, and I am a 21-year-old studying Communication at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Music, friends, and stand-up comedy are a few of my favorite things and one of my proudest moments was riding an elephant in gradeschool.
I first developed this blog my sophomore year of college after my first heartbreak, because reading and writing have always given me a sense of peace. However, it wasn’t until later that I became serious about my passion for writing and decided to major in Communication at Hope College.
If you have not heard of Hope College, don’t feel bad. It’s a really small, liberal arts college in Western Michigan right along the lakeshore. We get a lot of snow and a lot of rain. But, overall, it’s a beautiful place to be where both the sun and the people are always smiling.
It is now January of the year 2015. I have had two marketing internships since my first blog post and have, as the saying goes, gone confidently in the direction of my dreams. Although I am seeking a full-time job after I graduate, I am still using this blog as way to keep my creative juices flowing. Therefore, there is one section called “Scattered Thoughts” which is a space for me to blog about my moments of inspiration whether they are nonfiction stories or fictional tales.
The other section of this blog is called “Life of an Undergrad”. Here, I will talk about my professional path and all that I am learning at Hope. This section will be dedicated to the more professional side of Amanda Littleton, whereas “Scattered Thoughts” is devoted to the more personal, creative side.
I am still trying to figure out how to merge these two passions into a future career. If you have any ideas, let me know! But for now, I am stumped.
I encourage you to enjoy the journey with me! Introduce yourself. Let’s be friends.
